Types of Straightening | The Best Option for Your Hair

In this post, we discuss the types of straightening available for your hair. Some of the techniques used require professional treatment or a visit to a salon . You can see how much a keratin treatment costs here .
Brazilian Straightening
It's the most well-known and common straightening treatment currently available . It's currently trending, and its main ingredient is keratin. Keratin is a protein found in various areas of the body (such as nails and skin).
Brazilian straightening provides long-lasting results of between 3 and 6 months, resulting in healthy, shiny-looking hair.
Some of the keratin treatments we offer at Maniadealisar are organic . However, if you have questions about which keratin is right for your hair, don't hesitate to contact us or watch the videos on our YouTube channel. You can find more information on which keratin is best in this post.
Keratin also has restorative properties on the scalp and can be useful in restoring damaged hair.
Japanese Straightening
This type of straightening is done using a product called harmonium thioglycocate, which is basically a type of ammonia with minimal toxicity .
It is important to note that this type of straightening is more aggressive than Brazilian keratin straightening , so it is important to be cautious before opting for this type of treatment.
In our case, all of our straightening treatments and products are focused on Brazilian keratin straightening.
This type of straightening should only be applied by professionals or in beauty salons. Its application is more complex, and due to the nature of the products used, we should always seek the help of a professional.
Japanese straightening is incompatible with updos, ponytails, or dye, and can cause additional damage to your hair.
Some types of hair of Afro origin or very hard hair are totally incompatible with this type of straightening .
Photonic straightening
Just like the Brazilian straightening, this type uses keratin, and then uses photonic light to set the treatment and help straighten hair more quickly .
In this case, light will only help speed up the process, but the keratin application takes care of the straightening.

Traditional straightening (temporary)
In case you don't want to use any of the methods mentioned above, you can always resort to traditional straightening by using a hairdryer and regular flat irons .
However, this type of straightening loses its effect in a matter of days (and sometimes hours depending on the hair).
Furthermore, prolonged and constant use of this type of straightening can cause damage to the hair in the medium and long term .
At Mania de Straightening we recommend using Brazilian straightening using keratin, which we also specialize in.
Through our contact page , phone, or our YouTube channel, we'll be happy to help you make the best decision for your hair and achieve the best results.
